How do we book and pay?
Please enquire for availability and request a quotation. Due to the short timelines of planning a funeral, we ask for the full amount to be paid in order to confirm your booking. If needed, you can make a 50% deposit to secure your date, and pay the balance before the day of the funeral.
What platform do you stream on?
We use YouTube as our go-to streaming platform due to cost and accessibility factors. We create an unlisted stream which remains private, and only those who have the link can access the video.
When can we get the link to share?
Once your booking is confirmed, please provide us with the name and a photo of the departed, as well as any relevant artwork, and we will prepare the link for you. We aim to do this within 24 hours, but usually have it ready on the same day.
How long can we stream for?
These packages include the streaming of your event for up to a maximum of 2 hours. We can however extend the stream for longer periods if needed at an additional fee of R500 per hour.
How will it sound?
We aim to deliver professional and clean audio over our streams, however, when we are relying on 3rd party or venue equipment, we may encounter challenges. That is why we prefer to handle the audio as well. With our sound, we can guarantee crystal clear sound, both in-person and online.
Can we play music on the stream?
Streaming platforms use automated systems to detect copyrighted music, and may mute sections of audio or block the video entirely. In our experience, this has only occasionally been a problem with pop and secular music. We do however recommend keeping copyright music to a minimum, and we will use royalty free music where possible.
What happens if there are connectivity issues?
We always prefer to have a physical internet connection from the venue if possible, but we do provide an LTE router as a backup which generally gives us great results. In the case that we encounter connectivity issues, rest assured that we will still be recording the service and be able to share the recording for later viewing.
What happens if the power goes out?
Power outages may interrupt the stream as well as the recording, so it is strongly advised that backup power is arranged if load shedding is a possibility. We can assist with various power backup options depending on the size of the setup.
Will we receive a recording?
Yes, a recording will be made available. The stream link will also remain active and can be watched at a later time for those who cannot watch it live.
How early do you arrive?
Depending on our setup, we arrive between 1.5 and 2 hours before the service is scheduled to start. This allows us to set up and test things before friends and family start arriving.
